South Africa trainers equip young people for important ministry

We are truly blessed to see the great work of the South African training team, led by Yolande Nunes. And we are excited at the response to their inaugural year in 2011 and the partnerships that have grown out of their efforts. One exciting partnership is with The Joshua Youth Development and Service Programme, a ministry of Metropolitan Evangelical Services. As new groups of young people join the program each January, KidZ-South Africa has been asked to provide training as part of their orientation programme. What a challenging and awesome responsibility it would be to minister to children who are homeless in the inner city of Johannesburg! Now, imagine you are a young person who has been called to give a year of your life before going on to college or the job market to minister in this context – how important it would be to be trained in how to effectively reach and teach children! Eighteen participants from the Joshua programme attended training January 25 & 26 and the feedback from the group was encouraging. One participant shared… “I enjoyed all the interactive story-telling techniques. I have learned to plan a lesson that will be fun and meaningful to children […] […]

soccer4children Camp – January 2012 – Day 6

The final day had arrived. The boys were up early and eager to start the day. Breakfast was served and no time was wasted: they were out on the field warming up and practicing their chants. Kings School arrived around 8am and too had some time to warm up before the first game. 9am was the juniors […] […]
